Re-launched in 2005 our Photographers Combined Policy is a comprehensive package designed to cater for the professional photographer whether a sole trader working from home or with a studio, high street location or multiple locations across the country. Photographic equipment insured on an All Risks basis
45 days Worldwide extension

Items insured on an All Risks basis can be kept in the boot of a locked vehicle or out of sight in an estate car or similar so long as the vehicle is fitted with a manufacturers alarm and/or immobiliser during your working hours no matter at what time you finish work. Overnight there is cover for up to £2,500 of non-photographic equipment such as lights, tripods etc. This is for up to £15,000 worth of equipment. Amounts over this left in the vehicle unattended will need a tracker fitted

This is just an example for a starter package but all our quotations are on an individual bespoke basis.

The policy will further extend to include buildings cover for those who own their own studio premises, including subsidence cover, contents, equipment and stock and also provide Business Interruption cover should your business be disrupted through an insured peril. Naturally we are also able to offer Employers Liability cover and Personal Accident if required. We are also one of the only brokers to have pre-approval for elevated systems so can quote you straight away.

Newly introduced in 2007 we offer Photo-Tag cover to members of many of the major photographic organisations. This provides stickers which can be attached to equipment, mobile phones, laptops etc., and will alert the owner if the item is recovered following loss. This cover is usually sold at a value of £25.00.

Further news is that we are now able to provide cover for those photographers residing in the Republic of Ireland and from feedback received our rates are very competitive.

But possibly the best news of all is that we are able to provide INTEREST FREE DIRECT DEBIT over a 10 month period. Nothing extra to pay to spread the cost - how about that for an incentive to get a quote!

How to use the quote system

Decide on the cover you require and obtain your quotation. Proceed to the Declarations page and answer all the mandatory questions and ensure that the automatically completed questions are correct. If you make any changes to the standard answers then you will not be able to proceed to the automatic purchase section but will be contacted by the office as the earliest possible time to help you finalise your insurance requirements. If the Declaration is in order then you will be asked to print off and sign the declaration, complete the proposal form for Professional Indemnity cover if this is applicable to you and then forward these forms to us. This can be done by either faxing them to 08456 445562, scanning the signed forms back into your compter and sending them to photo@winsoverhowden.com or posting them to us. If you chose to pay be either monthly payments or debit or credit card then as soon as we have received your forms and agreed them cover can begin. However if you chose to pay by cheque then cover cannot start until the cheque has been received in our offices.

In all instances a Confirmation of Cover will be sent to confirm the date cover has been accepted.
